Pattern Cut Wall Return Air Grille - Pattern U

These Pattern Cut Wall Return Air Grilles can be painted to match your walls or stained to match your trim. There is a grille to match any decor, these wall return air grilles come in 26 different designs, 3 wood veneers, and 56 sizes. These grilles are cut from a Baltic Birch ply and you have the option of an Oak, Cherry, or Maple veneer face. An Adjustable Damper is also available which works in conjuctions with the Pattern Cut grilles. It is available in 21 sizes and allows you to control the air flow with a screw driver.

These wall return air grilles are measured by the size of the duct in the wall in inches Width x Height. For example, If you remove your existing grille and the hole in the wall measures 16" wide and 8" tall you will want to order the 16 x 8 Pattern Cut Grille. The overall face of the grille will be 1 3/4" larger than the duct (17 3/4" x 9 3/4" in our example). The faceplate thickness will measure approximately 1/4" thick

How to Stain Your Wall Return Air Grille

- Submerge the entire grille in a pan filled with stain.
- Wipe off any excess stain and allow to dry in an upright position.
- While the grille is laying flat, spray 2 - 3 coats of a lacquer sanding sealer.
- Sand the grille with a piece of 220 grit sandpaper being cautious not to burn through the stain.
- Brush off any residue.
- Lay the grille flat and spray 2 - 3 coats of clear lacquer.
- Allow to cure for at least 3 days before installing in your home.

How to Paint Your Wall Return Air Grille

- The manufacturer recommends you select the maple veneer (best for painting and staining). - Select a good shellac, water, oil, or lacquer based primer.
- Thin the primer and work it onto the surface of the grille with a soft brush.
- Using a spray, roller, or brush apply 2 coats of paint to the grille.
- Allow to dry completely before installing in your home.

These wood grilles are made to order and may take 3-5 weeks to ship. They are considered special order, non-returnable and cannot be canceled once payment is received.
