Wood Return Air Wall Grille - Pattern J

Pattern Cut wood return air wall grilles are a great addition to any room. Replace your old rusty wall grilles with these decorative wood return air grilles. These wall grilles come in 26 different design, ensuring you'll find a design to blend in with any decor. These wood return air grilles can be painted to match your walls or stained to match your trim. If you plan on painting your grille, the manufacturer has recommended the maple veneer. We offer 56 different sizes to choose from, if you don't see you size or shape in the drop down menu call us at 800-504-5989 for a quote. These wood return air grilles are made out of a Baltic Birch core, you then have the choice of an Oak, Maple, or Cherry veneer face. These wood return air wall grilles are all shipped to you sanded and ready to be finished. You also have the option of purchasing a separate Ajustable Damper to allow you to control the air flow. This damper comes in 21 sizes and is simple to install. You just place the damper into the duct, put the grille over the duct, and screw it in.
Please note: these grilles are sold by the duct size. For a 12 x 6 hole size, order a 12 x 6. The overall face of the grille will be 1 3/4" larger than the duct. Example: 12" x 6" duct opening will have a faceplate size of 13 3/4" x 7 3/4". The approximate thickness of the faceplate is 1/4".

Pattern Cut Grilles are cut to order, lead time is 3-5 weeks to ship. These wood grilles are special order, non-returnable and cannot be canceled once payment is received.

How to Stain Your Wood Return Air Wall Grille

- The easiest way to stain your wall grille is to submerge it into a large pan filled with the stain.
- Wipe off the excess stain and allow it to dry in an upright position for 24 hours.
- After laying the grille flat, spray 2 - 3 coats of a lacquer sanding sealer and 1 coat on the back to ensure it is completely sealed.
- With a piece of sandpaper, lightly sand the entire wall grille being cautious around the edges.
- Again, lay the wall grille flat and spray with a clear lacquer.
- Allow your wood return air wall grille to cure for at least 3 days before installing in your home.

How to Paint Your Wood Return Air Wall Grille

- After thinning your shellac, water, lacquer, or oil based primer brush it over the wall grille with a soft brush.
- Be careful not to let drips build up in the edges of the wall grille.
- With a roller, brush, or spray apply 2 coats of your paint.
- Allow to dry completely before installing.
