Return Air Decorative Grille - Pattern H

These decorative wood filter grilles by Pattern Cut, Inc replace dingy, damaged white steel return filter grilles. The wood return air grilles are manufactured from 100% laminated birch hardwood with a veneered face. You can add style to any room while trapping harmful dust and particles in your HVAC system. You have your choice between three unfinished veneers: oak, maple or cherry. If you anticipate on painting the grille, the manufacturer recommends the maple veneer. These decorative wood filter grilles, however, can be painted to match your walls or stained to match your trim. They come sanded and ready for you to finish however you'd like. On top of the 56 different sizes these wall grilles come in, Pattern Cut, Inc also offers custom sizes. Just call 1-800-504-5989 for a quote.

Each Pattern Cut wood filter grille includes a filter frame (that is installed in the opening) that holds the included 1" filter and removable filter door that is held into place with brass thumb screws. This way you have easy access to the filter compartment when changing of the filter is needed.

The wood Pattern Cut Filter Grilles have a lead time of
3-5 weeks to ship because they are cut to order. They are also a special order, non-returnable item and cannot be canceled once payment is received.

How to Order Your Decorative Air Return Wall Grille

- Measure the duct opening in your wall or ceiling (w" x h").
- In the drop down menu listed "Size/Price" select the corresponding size.
Ex: a 12" wide x 6" high duct opening will need a 12 x 6 wall grille.
Hint: The outer measurement of the grilles will be 2" larger than the duct size. In the previous example, the faceplate would measure 14" x 8"
- Determine which wood veneer you'd like the face of your decorative air return to be. (Oak, Maple, or Cherry)
Hint: If the grille is going to be painted, the manufacturer recommends choosing the maple veneer.
- In the drop down menu listed "Wood Type" select the veneer of your choice.

How to Paint your Return Air Decorative Grille

- Choose a good water, oil, shellac, or lacquer based primer.

- Allow to dry completely before installing.

How to Stain your Return Air Decorative Grille

- Submerge the grille in a pan filled with stain.
- Wipe off any excess stain.
- Let the grille dry in an upright position.
- Spray the grille with a lacquer sanding sealer while it is laying flat applying 2 - 3 coats.
- Gently sand the grille with sandpaper, being careful not to burn through the stain
- Again, lay the grille flat and spray a clear lacquer.
- Allow to cure for three days before installing.
