The faceplate is 4mm thick and has beveled edging giving it a nice flow from faceplate to floor to avoid any tripping or toe stubbing hazard. It's textured matte black finish helps protect against scratches, scuffs and rust. Imperial's Cast Iron Floor Registers drop into the floor about 1 1/4" and has a modern Montezuma design.
