Finishing Instructions:
IF REGISTER IS EQUIPPED WITH DAMPER, REMOVE BEFORE FINISHING. 
Sand all the surfaces lightly with 150 grit sandpaper. DO NOT USE STEEL WOOL as it tends to shed fibers that stick in the grain and may foul a smooth finish. If staining, use an oil based stain on ALL surfaces. When completely dry, apply two (2) coats of oil-based sanding sealer to all surfaces (top, ends, back and slots). Failure to do all the surfaces may result in register warping. Allow to dry thoroughly. Sand the sealer with 220 grit sandpaper. Apply 2-3 coats of high quality oil-based finish coat to all surfaces (top, ends, back and slots).
