Regarding measurements:  Please ensure you are measuring the actual size of the floor hole into which this vent will be placed.  In order to have the correct vent size, please do not measure the faceplate of the old grille.  For instance, if floor hole size is 8 x 12 inches, purchase an 8 x 12 inch vent. 

Heavy Gauge Floor Return Dimensions:

Faceplate dimensions are 9 13/16 x 13 13/16. The approximate thickness of the faceplate is 3/16 inch. The grille drops into the hole opening in the floor approximately 3/4 inch.
