These come sanded ready for you to finish however you'd like. Not only do we have 56 different sizes but the manufacturer is also able to make custom sizes! Just reach out via email or by phone using 1-800-504-5989 for a quote.

How to Order Your Decorative Air Return Wall Grille

- Measure the duct opening in your wall or ceiling (w" x h").
Ex: a 12" wide x 6" high duct opening will need a 12 x 6 wall grille.
Hint: The outer measurement of the grilles will be 2" larger than the duct size. In the previous example, the faceplate would measure 14" x 8"

How to Stain Your Wood Air Return Decorative Wall Grille

- Fill a large pan with the stain of your choice and submerge the grille.
- Wipe off any excess stain and leave the grille to dry in an upright position for 24 hours.
- Spray the grille with 2 - 3 coat of lacquer sanding sealer while it is laying flat.
- Spray one coat on the back to seal the grille.
- Gently sand the grille.
- Again, lay the grille flat and apply 2 - 3 coats of clear lacquer.
- Allow to cure for 3 days.

How to Paint Your Wood Air Return Decorative Wall Grille

- Thin your primer and apply 2 thin coats to the grille with a soft brush.
- The best way to apply the paint is with a spray but a roller or brush will also work.
